Kolkata: Indian Coast Guard Ships (ICGS) 'Annie Besant' and (ICGS) 'Amrit Kaur' were commissioned on Sunday at Kolkata.
The two fast patrol vessels, which were commissioned by Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar, will be deployed along the eastern coast.
Both the vessels have been designed and manufactured by the Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE).

The commissioning ceremony was attended by Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar, Director General of Indian Coast Guard Krishnaswami Natarajan, and Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Chairman and Managing Director Rear Admiral V K Saxena (Retd.)
