A scuffle broke out between two Congress party workers at a condolence meeting in Ajmer over getting a photograph clicked. However, Ajmer City Congress President Vijay Jain said that party office bearers were not involved in the fight.

Ajmer: Two Congress party workers clashed at a condolence meeting in Ajmer, a video of the event showed. The incident reportedly happened at Clock Tower when senior party members were paying floral tributes to the soldiers and a fight broke out between party workers.

"Both the workers indulged in a scuffle after which they were told to leave," sources said.

They added, "Everybody gathered at the designated place to pay tributes to the soldiers who lost their lives in the Galwan valley. But scuffle broke out between two party leaders over getting a photograph clicked. One of them was severely injured.

However, Ajmer City Congress President Vijay Jain said that neither of the workers involved in the fight were party office bearers. A case of indiscipline will be registered by the cops.

It was also observed that no social distancing was maintained at the event.

On the call of Congress Interim President Sonia Gandhi, Congress organised a nationwide campaign 'Shaheed ko Salam Diwas' across India on Friday to pay homage to the brave soldiers who lost their lives in the violent face-off with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley, Ladakh on June 15.
