Torrential rains deluge World Heritage Site Pattadakal in K'taka

Unabated rainfall in Karnataka’s Bagalakot district has inundated UNESCO World Heritage temple Pattadakal. Water from the Naviluteertha Dam was released into the Malaprabha River on Friday, which led to the inundation of the heritage temple.

Karnataka: Incessant rains in the state of Karnataka has inundated World heritage site, Pattadakal.

The continuous rains have disrupted normal lives. The educational institutions as well as offices have been shut down in the state.

Road and railways tracks have been severely damaged leaving thousands stranded.
