The United Nations faces a 'crisis of confidence' without comprehensive reforms, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, asserting that the world needs a reformed multilateralism that reflects today's realities, gives voice to all stakeholders, addresses contemporary challenges and focuses on human welfare.

3. Centre's move to hike MSP of wheat 'inadequate': Sukhbir Singh Badal

Terming the increase of Minimum Support Price (MSP) as 'huge disappointment' for farmers, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Monday said the Centre's decision to hike Minimum Support Price (MSP) of wheat by Rs 50 per quintal was inadequate. Earlier on Sunday, the minister urged President Ram Nath Kovind not to sign the farm Bills.

The death toll in the Bhiwandi building collapse in Thane district of Maharastra has risen to 17. The NDRF said a total of 20 people have been rescued so far. The incident happened at around 3:40 am on Monday.

The United States slapped new sanctions on Iranian officials and entities after its effort to reimpose UN sanctions on Tehran over the weekend was largely rejected. The new executive order was issued just days after the US said it unilaterally reimposed UN sanctions on Iran that had been lifted under the Iran nuclear deal.

7.UN's 75th Anniversary Declaration commits to Security Council reform

The Declaration said the UN must better address terrorism, promote peace and prevent conflict. The Declaration committed the UN "to listen and work with youth" who is "the missing piece for peace and development".

The RCB posted 163/5 in their allotted 20 overs, after the SRH captain David Warner won the toss and opted to bowl at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Chasing, the SRH were bundled out for 153 in 19.4 overs.
