Four people have been swept away by a swollen stream at Pune in Maharashtra following heavy rain in the district, police said on Thursday.

2. Sensex drops 1066 points amid broad-based selloff

Indian stock market plunged on Thursday due to heavy selling pressure. At the time of closing, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading over 1066 points lower, while the NSE Nifty was at 11,680 after losing 290 points.

3.Hathras case: CCTV footage lost from hospital

The CCTV footage of September 14, the day Hathras victim was brought in to the hospital, has been lost. Chief Medical Superintendent of the Hathras district hospital, said that the hospital would have saved the footage if the police had asked them to.

6. Russia, Turkey agree on strict adherence to Nagorno-Karabakh ceasefire

The development comes after Azerbaijan, which is openly backed by Turkey, accused Armenia of violating the ceasefire, just two days after it was imposed. Russia hoped that Turkey would contribute constructively to the de-escalation of the conflict, considering Ankara's membership in the OSCE.
