New Delhi: In a meeting held on Thursday, BJP delegation complained to Election commission of India about violence in West Bengal.
It also claimed that the state government is responsible for atrocities in Bengal.
Talking to media after meeting, BJP member and Lok Sabha MP SS Ahluwalia said that TMC supporters attacked BJP supporters and BDO did not file any complaint with the police about the violence occurred in a government office.
Ahluwalia claims that police and other government officials are controlled by the state government. We have requested the election commission to take notice of this, he added.
Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh said that during the recently concluded election, there were incidents of violence and murder. We have requested the election commission to take notice of these incidents and take necessary steps accordingly.
