New Delhi: Former deputy CM of Bihar and leader of opposition in the state assembly, Tejashwi Yadav lashed out at CM Nitish Kumar and asked him to resign for "being directly involved in the Muzaffarpur girls' shelter home case".
He claimed that even after TISS released its report in the case, Kumar did not get an FIR lodged against the prime accused Brajesh Thakur for several days. After the opposition raised its voice, Thakur was sent to jail, he said and added that even in jail, the accused was provided all the facilities.
He also said that after the opposition pressurised the Nitish government, a CBI probe was sought into the matter.
He added that a diary was recovered from Thakur while he was in the jail in which there was mention of one 'Bade sir of Patna'. He added that it appeared that the CBI had come to know who the person was and that was why the concerned CBI officer was transferred.
He also highlighted that district police superintendent Harpreet Kaur, who was helping the CBI in collecting the evidences, was transferred from Muzaffarpur.
