Tiruppur (Tamilnadu): A 35-year-old woman died on Monday in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district after sustaining injuries in a fight that broke out over a cricket match between her sons and their friends.
The deceased, identified as Kondaal, along with her husband Palanisamy (40), had gone to Madathupalayam to confront the family of the four boys - Thamizhelvan (18), Sampath Kumar (18), Varadaraj (19) and Rajkumar (18) - who had allegedly hit her three sons during a quarrel over deciding the venue of a cricket match.
The confrontation led to a heated argument which finally resulted in a scuffle between the two families, which is when the four boys allegedly hit Kondaal with cricket bats and stones.
Kondaal was immediately rushed to the Avinashi Government Hospital where she was pronounced dead by the doctors.

Following a protest by the residents of Bharati Nagar area demanding action against all those involved in the murder, police arrested the four youths and are investigating the matter.
