Although the stall offers bread free of cost, it also has the provision of making a nominal payment of Rs. 30 for anyone who wishes to pay for the food.

“People are taking what they need and they are leaving and some of them are even leaving money in the box. Few of them, however, took bread packets without leaving the money. But, it doesn't matter to us, as we feel that everyone needs to be fed” said the owner of the shop Jaganathan.

The stall, which is open around the clock, is providing respite to several out-of-work migrant workers and destitute.
