New Delhi: Indians across sections — ordinary individuals, celebrities, government officials, private sector professionals and conglomerates — have come forward to donate to the PM-CARES (Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance & Relief in Emergency Situations) Fund in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Joining the series, Swami Sadanand Maharaj also made a contribution of Rs 1.25 crore on behalf of the Swami Sadanand Pranami charitable trust. He handed over the cheque to the Union Minister Prakash Javdekar.
It is to be noted that this is the biggest contribution made by a saint in India to fight the coronavirus crisis.
With the PM-CARES public charitable trust fund set up, many citizens have come forward to support the Centre by making donations.
Swami Sadanand Pranami Charitable Trust was established by Swami Sadanand Maharaj in 1971 and since then this trust has been active in various social and religious functions.
