Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Board of Wakf chairperson Zafar Ahmed Farooqui on Sunday said that they would hold a meeting on November 26 to discuss the future course of action in view of the Supreme Court's verdict in Ayodhya case.

"A meeting of the Sunni Waqf Board is scheduled to be held on November 26, where we will discuss the future course of actions and what is to be done in compliance with the apex court's Ayodhya judgment," Farooqui told ANI over the phone.

He indicated that discussions will also take place on whether to accept the five-acre plot which the Supreme Court has asked to be made available for the construction of a mosque in Ayodhya.

Farooqui on Saturday had said that the board welcomes the verdict of the Supreme Court and will not file any curative or review petition in the matter.

The Supreme Court on Saturday directed the Central government to hand over the disputed site at Ayodhya for the construction of a temple and set up a trust for this.

The apex court further directed the government to give a suitable plot of land measuring five acres to the Sunni Waqf Board.
