New Delhi: Former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan condemned Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Azam Khan's sexist remarks against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Rama Devi who was in the Chair in the Lok Sabha, saying that the SP leader should be given some special training on morals.
Asserting that Azam Khan disrespected Parliament, Sumitra Mahajan demanded that the SP MP be suspended for his remarks on Rama Devi.
Azam Khan, while participating in the debate on the triple talaq bill, made a sexist remark against Rama Devi but later clarified, saying that she was like his sister.
Condemning the remarks, Sumitra Mahajan also said that Azam Khan not only disrespected the BJP MP but also Parliament. Demanding his suspension, Sumitra Mahajan said that Azam Khan should also be given special training.
"He should be suspended from the parliament but also, he should also be given special training. Some sort of training punishment should be introduced. They should be taught morals," Mahajan added.
