Special 'Gamcha' for PM Modi on the occasion of Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Temple

GI specialist Dr Rajinikanth hired a weaver from the PM's constituency to craft a 'Gamcha' with Lord Ram, the land of Ayodhya imprinted on it. He urged everyone to help him to make it possible to gift it to the PM on the auspicious occasion of Bhoomi Pujan of Ram Temple.

Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch development projects worth Rs 500 crore for Ayodhya, on the day of the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ (groundbreaking ceremony) for the Ram temple on August 5 and at least three members of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust, the body set up to oversee the construction of the temple.

On this auspicious occasion, GI specialist Dr Rajinikanth wants to gift a special Gamchha to PM Modi while welcoming him in Ayodhya during ‘Bhoomi Pujan.'

He hired a weaver from the PM's constituency Varanasi who has crafted a 'Gamcha' and imprinted the name of Lord Ram and he urged everyone to help him to make it possible to gift it to the PM.

Dr Rajinikanth has got it prepared by Bachha Lal Maurya who is famous for his weaving skills in Chhahi village in Sarnath. Maurya took 15 days to complete this special Gamcha for PM Modi.

Reportedly, PM Modi will reportedly place a silver brick at the foundation site of the Ram Mandir during the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony in Ayodhya and it is being said that the silver brick weighs 22.6 kg and costs around ₹15,59,000. The brick will be placed at the site at 12:15:15 pm.

Soon after the ceremony, the construction work on the temple will officially start. The trust has set a 2024 deadline to complete the work.

The date fixed for Ram Mandir ‘Bhoomi Pujan’, 5 August, also happens to be the first anniversary of the scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
