New Delhi: While the Supreme Court of India, on Monday, slammed the Central Government over its failure to end the deadlock with the farmers, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi spoke to the Opposition leaders to prepare a joint strategy to corner the government over the new agriculture laws.

Sources from the Congress party informed that Sonia Gandhi has asked the Opposition party leaders to prepare a 'joint action plan' before the commencement of Parliament session.

In addition to this, Congress will also release a booklet, in next few days, over the farm laws, proving a point by point rebuttal on the BJP government to explain why the farmers are protesting against the three laws.

Congress has already extended its supports to the farmers' agitation. On Saturday, the Congress party announced that they will observe a 'Kisan Adhikar Diwas' on January 15, in which the party members will stage protests outside the Governor's house in each state.

The 'Delhi Chalo' farmers' protest at Delhi borders has entered 47th day today. Earlier today, NCP president Sharad Pawar also met left party leaders Sitaram Yechury and D Raja to discuss over the ongoing farmers' agitation. After the meeting, D Raja told reporters that the party's strategy would be based on farmers' stance.
