New Delhi: Amid talks of Jharkhand cabinet expansion, a team of all 16 Congress MLAs from the state met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here on Friday.
Interacting with the ETV Bharat here after the meeting, Jharkhand Congress chief Rameshwar Oraon said that it was a courtesy call to the party leadership.
"Sonia Gandhi Ji asked us to remain united and make the party strong," he said, adding that the JMM-Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) alliance, which won 47 of the 81 seats in the assembly elections, has a 'bright future'.
On being asked if women would also get a berth in the cabinet, he said the matter was not discussed in the meeting but it was 'obvious'.
Hemant Soren, working president of the JMM, took oath as the 11th chief minister of the state last month.
