The development comes after a revised petition was filed by Guman Singh and Ladu Singh who moved court against co-operative society and accused it of dupping 50,000 investors.

Ajay Kumar Jain, the complainants' counsel said that court accepted the revision petition stating that the amount invested in the Society has been misused. The complainants had invested Rs 68 lakh in the society but were denied their maturity dues.

Jain said, "The revised petition was filed on June 20. There was a huge money trail into the bank accounts of Gajendra Shekhawat and his wife but still, SOG neither arrested them nor seized their properties.

The investigation by SOG also revealed that Shekhawat and his wife's companies had shares in the co-operative society which were transferred to the company's director Vikram Singh. The funds of the investors were later misused by Vikram Singh.

Initially, the SOG had registered a case against the co-operative society in 2019 on the basis of preliminary complaints of unsuspecting investors that 50,000 of them were defrauded of Rs 884 crore.

On Tuesday, additional district judge Pawan Kumar directed the additional chief judicial magistrate's court to send the complaint against the BJP leader to the SOG. The Jaipur unit of the SOG has been probing into the scam since last year. An FIR was registered on August 23, 2019. According to the complaint, the funds were used for building construction and buying land in Ethiopia.

The development comes amid allegations by the Congress that the minister is involved in a bid to topple the Ashok Gehlot government. The Special Operations Group (SOG) has already sent a notice to the minister in connection with a probe into audio clips which purportedly indicate efforts to lure MLAs away from the Congress.
