Gaya (Uttar Pradesh): Several black balloons were seen floating above Gandhi Maidan in Bihar's Gaya while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath was addressing a Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) awareness rally in the state.
The sky above Gandhi maidan was awash with black balloons as Adityanath was halfway through his speech.
The Bharatiya Janta Party leaders and the party workers present at the rally were visibly upset with the sudden turn of events.

The balloons are being understood as a mark of protest against the BJP's push to implement the contentious CAA and garner support for the legislation which critics believe is exclusionary in nature as it seeks to grant citizenship to six non-Muslim minority communities from three neighbouring countries.
