Santiniketan: A sub-divisional court in Bolpur has ordered police custody of six miscreants for 14 days, including four from Bangladesh. They had gathered in the Taltore area of Santiniketan police station in connection with a conspiracy to kill influential Trinamool Congress leaders, according to Birbhum Superintendent of Police, Shyam Singh.
A 9mm pistol, five firearms including two 'one shutter gun' and 5.6 kg explosives were recovered from the suspects.
Among the arrested, Syed Anwar Ali resides in Khos Kadampur of Bolpur and Kajal Sheikh is from Muluk area. Their native place is Papuri village, Nanur. Besides, Babu Sarkar, Bilal Hossain, Dilbar Mia, Mohammad Murad Murshad were also arrested. They belong to Bangladesh. The Special Task Force has appealed for the interrogation of these miscreants.
