New Delhi: The Special Investigating Team (SIT), which was investigating the violence that broke out in Seemapuri area of Delhi during anti-Citizenship (Amendment) Act protests, has accused as many as 15 "illegal" Bangladeshi nationals for being involved in the incident.
The revelations were made by the SIT after conducting a preliminary investigation.
Highly placed sources have confirmed that the SIT has identified all 15 accused who are likely to be arrested soon by Delhi police.
The SIT will further investigate if the December 20 violence was a "pre-planned" one and if the perpetrators received funds and logistical support for the same, as per sources.

Earlier, the Delhi police had arrested eleven people in connection with the protests.
They were then sent to 14-days judicial custody with a right to avail the bail on December 21.
