New Delhi: Condemning Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu for his "Pakistan love", the BJP on Monday said, "It was difficult to understand a person like him".
Speaking to ETV Bharat here, BJP national spokesperson Bizay Sonkar Shastri said it was unfortunate that the Congress leader did not know how the Pakistani Army was killing innocent Indians and he was still praising Pakistan.
Sidhu, on Saturday, while addressing a gathering at the Kartarpur corridor inauguration across the international border, had praised the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying "Sikandar (Alexander) had won the world with fear and you won the heart all over the world" by getting the corridor ready for Sikh pilgrims.
The BJP leader said Sidhu's love for Pakistan has worked against him. People no longer respect him as they used to in the past because of his love for Pakistan.
"This man has downgraded himself so much that people have started hating him," Shastri said.
The BJP leader also said that it was up to Congress to do something about him. The BJP also criticized him for projecting himself as a representative of 14 crore Sikhs.
