New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Railways Suresh Angadi on Tuesday "warned" the district administration and railway authorities to shoot at sight any person who destroys public property.
The Union Minister was reacting to the widespread protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act, which turned violent at several locations.
"13 lakh employees are working day and night for railways - for development, cleanliness, and punctuality. But some anti-social elements, supported by the Opposition, are creating problem in the country,' he said, claiming that a few were unnecessarily creating problems to "destabilise" the country's economy.

Condemning the reported acts of violence and damage to public property, Angadi gave his 'direction'.
"I strictly warn concerned dist admn&railway authorities, if anybody destroys public property, including railway, I direct as a Minister, shoot them at sight," he said.
