Postal dept to take out an awareness campaign on 'My Stamp' at Shimla

In the Shimla General Post Office, under the My Stamp Campaign, anyone can make their own stamp using the picture of their loved ones or of themselves. A special awareness campaign will also be organized by Shimla GPO about My Stamp next week.

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh): Generally postage stamps carry the pictures of great persons, some historical monuments, some flowers or birds. However, General post office in Shimla located at Scandal Point has come up with a unique idea of 'My Stamp'.

My stamp is a novel idea through which any person can get pictures of loved ones or of themselves printed on the stamp.

However, not many people are aware of this facility. For this, a special awareness campaign will be organized by Shimla GPO regarding My Stamp next week.

In this campaign, tourists coming to Shimla including locals will be briefed about the concept of My Stamp. In this campaign, people will be made aware of the theme and use of this My Stamp.

Senior Post Master Hardev Sharma, said that this special awareness campaign will be conducted next week on My Stamp.

My Stamp is a very good concept. In this stamp, people can make their own stamp using their photo. In the same way, any of your special friends, parents, children can also get their stamp made and given to them as gifts, he said.

During the campaign, people will be sensitized about 'My Stamp' in detail.
