New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday agreed to hear a plea filed by Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) seeking disqualification of Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam and ten other AIADMK MLAs for voting against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy in a 2017 confidence motion.
The bench headed by the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi said that it will consider the petition filed by the party.
The Madras High Court had declined the plea filed last year in April.
