SC directs Gov to act against the black marketers of Sanitisers and Masks

The apex court has ordered the Central government to look into the matter of black marketing of masks and sentisers in the country. The bench comprising of Justice L Nageswara Rao and Justice Deepak Gupta have also asked to publicise the helpline numbers to control the prices.

New Delhi: The Supreme Court bench comprising of Justice L Nageswara Rao and Justice Deepak Gupta asked the centre on Friday to act against the black marketers of masks and sanitisers.

The bench also directed to publish and publicise the helpline numbers for the effective implementation of controlling the price of the masks and sanitisers.

The court was hearing a PIL filed by the 'Justice for Right Foundation' which had sought free distribution of the masks and santisers and action aginst the balck marketers.

The central government through Solicitor General Tushar Mehta assured the court that government is looking in the matter and would do to ensure the implementation of the notification.

Petitioner had contended that though the government had taken steps the implementation was faulty.
