Jaipur (Rajasthan): Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot slammed the Central government for not putting up a detailed and holistic plan to exit the ongoing lockdown. He said that ongoing lockdown 4.0 will end on May 31, but BJP government has failed to chalk out a comprehensive plan to exit the same.
"Seeing the difficulties faced by the migrants and the poor, we have asked the government to provide Rs 10,000 cash into the bank accounts of migrants immediately. Government should increase the number of days under MNREGA scheme from 100 to 200 days to ensure more jobs in the villages," he said while addressing mediapersons.
He went on to add, "Congress party has launched Speak Up India campaign on its social media platform today. We have asked the Central govt to directly transfer Rs 10,000 cash into the bank accounts of the migrants and also to provide 200 days under MNREGA scheme."
"Around 41 lakh people are enrolled under MNREGA scheme in Rajasthan. Every migrant worker under MNREGA gets Rs 220 per day and scheme has proved to be a lifeline for poor people," he added, saying that Rajasthan has the highest number of beneficiaries of MNREGA.

He also said that MNREGA scheme was an initiative of the UPA govt, which has helped migrant workers under this lockdown
"Congress will bear the cost of transport for the migrants who stranded in various parts of the country and wish to return home," he said, adding that in non- Congress ruled states party organisations will help the migrants by arranging transport facilities.
Earlier in the day, Congress launched Speak Up India campaign today on social media to address the concerns of the people suffering during lockdown. Opposition party has asked Central govt to directly transfer Rs 7,500 into the bank accounts of the migrants and poor for the next six months and give Rs 10,000 immediately.
Party has also put forward the demand of arranging free transport for the migrant workers who wish to return home and also to increase number of days under MNREGA to 200 days.
