Patna (Bihar): The Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) on Saturday released its manifesto for the upcoming state Assembly elections in Bihar.

RLSP president Upendra Kushwaha, who launched the manifesto, said that if his party forms the government in Bihar, development work which would usually take 15 years, would be completed within 15 months.

The poll manifesto of the RLSP stressed on education, health, irrigation, and employment.

Among the education-related promises in the RLSP manifesto were the appointment of quality teachers through the Bihar Public Service Commission, a teacher eligibility test, and the adoption of online teaching methods.

Further, Kushwaha said that along the lines of the Navodaya Vidyalaya, 'Karupri Thakur Vidyalayas' will be established in all districts of Bihar, where children will be given free residential facilities and education.

The RLSP president also said that the proposal for the establishment of Indian GDCL services will be sent to the Central Government in the first assembly session itself if the RLSP forms the government.

He also promised that a Sports University will be established in Bihar, and the capital Patna will be renamed to Pataliputra.

Having been spurned by the NDA and discarded by the RJD-helmed 'Mahagathbandhan', Kushwaha has forged a coalition with Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party and little-known Jantantrik Party (Socialist) for the upcoming polls.

In the 2015 assembly polls, the RLSP had fielded 23 candidates as part of the grand alliance and two of them won. It also managed to secure a seat in the legislative council.

However, all three legislators later revolted against Kushwaha and joined Nitish Kumar's JD(U).
