New Delhi: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday said that the International Day of Disabled Persons should be renamed 'Day of Persons With Special Ability' as such people have proved beyond any doubt that nothing could stop them from achieving their goals.
Speaking here on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, he appealed to the people world over to consider his suggestion as these people have proved they could achieve anything they aim for.
Naidu also advocated hassle-free access for them to all public places and urged the corporate and private sectors to help the country to achieve the goal.
On the occasion, the Vice President also felicitated Uttar Pradesh for being the most friendly state to the specially-abled people.
He said the state has been awarded for its work done to make life easy for specially-abled people.
