Red Alert: LeT terrorists enter Tamil Nadu through Sri Lanka

Red alert has been issued in Tamil Nadu about a possible terrorist attack that might happen on the upcoming of Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Reports suggest that six members of the terror outfit LeT have infiltrated the state by sea from Sri Lanka and moved to different cities, including Coimbatore, according to the police.

Coimbatore: Security has been tightened across Tamil Nadu following intelligence inputs that members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba have infiltrated into the state on Friday.

The reports suggested six members of the terror outfit infiltrated into the state by sea from Sri Lanka and moved to different cities, including Coimbatore, according to the police.

Red alert has been issued in Tamil Nadu suspecting a possible terror attack on Ganesh Chaturthi destival.

To avoid further disaster happenings, especially on upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival, the police is in charge of full tight security in major cities like Chennai, Coimbatore etc.,

Security has been stepped up at many places, including airports, railway stations, bus stands and places of worship across the state. An alert has been sounded, especially in coastal districts, to prevent any further possible intrusion.

There has been tight patrolling across Coimbatore district. Vehicle checks have been intensified in the city and border areas, the police said.

Though the identity or the nationality of the intruders were yet to be ascertained, sources said one person belonged to Pakistan.

Regarding the fear of terrorist attack, red alert given to entire Tamil Nadu. Due to this, security has being tight in public places where as in bus stand, railway stations.



According Raw information, rumours spreads that six terrorist have entered in Tamil Nadu. Cuurently the Six members present in Coimbatore.
