Pune (Maharashtra): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday said that opening of cow shelters in jails have led to a reduction in the criminal mindset of those inmates who reared cows.

Addressing a gathering here, Bhagwat said, "Cow shelters were opened in jails and some inmates started rearing cows. Jailers of different prisons have told me, on two-three occasions, that criminal mindset of jail inmates who reared cows, decreased."

Elaborating on his statement he also called upon such exercise to be conducted and documented at different places to establish the fact before the world.

"If this needs to be established on the global level then documentation is necessary. Criminals have to undergo psychological analysis and after they rear cow, we have to again note the changes and take out its statistical probability and document it. When such a document comes from thousands of places, the fact will be established. This exercise needs to be undertaken", he added.

Bhagwat also called upon more and more families to come forward to take care of cows which are left unattended.

"In our society, all things are seen in the perspective of relation. The West thinks that cow gives milk and meat, hence it is a thing of consumption for them. However, we never reared cow for their milk. In India, the cow was always reared for a sacred atmosphere. Milk and its products were never sold", Bhagwat said.

He also outlined the benefits of cow dung in the traditional method of farming and said that for centuries our farmers never depended on fertilizers because cow dung provided them with natural manure.

The availability of porn sites,  overindulgence on watching obscene

videos, are the factors forcing youth to move on wrong paths.

Smartphones, laptops, more liberty, unmindful of parents warning and

lack of counseling coupled with accessibility and to cheap rate

internet facility can be attributed to incidents of rape and sexual

assaults across the country.

Gruesome rape,  murder, and setting on fire of Disha a veterinarian in

Hyderabad was the classic example of such incidents.

Four accused in an inebriated condition three of them just 20 years

old turned inhuman and ruthless had trapped hapless Disha and set her

ablaze after rape and murder after puncturing her two-wheeler.

Social scientists opine that more liberty,  bad friendship and easy

access to the internet and porn videos are the main culprits for such

heinous incidents.

The youth resort to rape and sexual assaults on girls and women are a

cause of concern.

A few years ago in Dehradun,  youth influenced by porn sites, resorted

to sexual assault on their girlfriend when she was alone. Police found

that youth used to watch on a regular basis the porn sites and obscene

videos on the internet.

The advent of smartphones and easy internet access led to increasing

in watching blue films and also sexual assault cases on the rise.

As Uttar Pradesh high court directed, the center issued orders in 2015

to shut 857 porn and obscene sites on the internet.

Subsequently, as many as 827 internet sites have declared blocking of

their porn sites.  However, the problem of porn sites and videos

prevails.

What elders do

Elders have to be more cautious about their teenage children.  Ensure

they do not carry smartphones, check them watching blue films with

friends, deny access to porn sites,  unlimited call data, and

internet.

Parents have to instruct children on bad friendship its effect and

abstain from watching such videos.

Do not leave children alone, spend more time with them to prevent

watching porn videos and sites.

If you suspect their behavior get them counseling and prevent them

from such incidents of sexual assaults.

Abundant porn sites

Despite a government ban, porn sites were not fully blocked.

There is an abundance of porn sites and obscene videos forcing youth

to watch blue films continuously only to become slaves.

They send porn videos and blue films through WhatsApp and the internet

among friends.

While some youth cheat and harass girls in the name of love dating and

parties,  lorry workers tend to sexually attack on victims like Disha

by finding them alone.

Under blue films influence, they tend to assault on small girls, use

secret cameras, illegal grab of photos of women taking bath, changing

clothes and sexual attack.

Since blue films show videos of illegal contracts and show the bad

effect on teenagers to have wrong feelings on women.
