Jodhpur: Days after Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot attacked Bharatiya Janata Party and alleged that it wants to destabilize the government claiming that some of the party MLAs were offered Rs 25 crore each, BJP Rajya Sabha candidate and state vice-president Rajendra Gehlot attacked the CM for his remarks and said that the Congress is the same party which has formed the government by means of horse trading.

Significantly, out of three seats which will go for Rajya Sabha elections, two seats fall in Jodhpur constituency and BJP once again relying on the Jodhpur worker who has fielded former minister Rajendra Gehlot for the Rajya Sabha elections.
Rajendra Gehlot comes under OBC category and belongs to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot's caste.
Before his departure to Jaipur, several activists, including Jodhpur president Devendra Joshi, Mahendra Meghwal, Rajendra Borana and Pawan Asopa, wished him good luck.

Congress had earlier charged the BJP with attempts to destabilise the state government with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot claiming that some of the party MLAs were offered Rs 25 crore each.
Gehlot’s statement came hours after the Congress took its MLAs to a Jaipur resort for a meeting ahead of the elections to three seats of the Rajya Sabha in the state on June 19.
He had also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the Rajya Sabha elections were postponed under pressure because the BJP could not poach MLAs in Rajasthan and Gujarat.
Alleging a bid to poach the party MLAs and the independent legislators backing the government, government chief whip Mahesh Joshi too had forwarded a written complaint to the DG, Anti-Corruption Bureau. He has sought action against ''identified'' elements for the corrupt conduct and attempts for destabilising the government.

In the assembly of 200, the Congress has 107 MLAs, including six those who defected to the party from the BSP last year. The party enjoys the support of 12 of the 13 independent MLAs in the state.
