Rajasthan yoga trainer to create world record on International Yoga Day

A Jaipur-based yoga trainer on International Yoga Day will be creating world record by performing yoga for more than 12 hours at a stretch.

Jaipur: The Director and Founder of 'Yogasthali Yoga Society' in Rajasthan's Jaipur is all set to create a world record by performing Yoga continuously for more than 12 hours on International Yoga Day.

"I will go live on Facebook so that a lot of people get inspired and start this beautiful practice. Yoga in this trying times of crisis is much needed to fight back the deadly virus. It's so good to know that during the corona-induced lockdown people have been doing Yoga to keep themselves healthy. If people practise yoga with all their might, we can easily defeat the deadly virus with our increased immunity," Hemlata Sharma told ETV Bharat.

Highlighting the significance of Yoga, she said Surya Namaskar, Padhastasana, Tadasana, Vriksasana, Vakrasana, Utkatasana, Trikonasana, Paschimottanasana, Padmasana, Dhanurasana, Bhujangasana among other few yogas can keep health ailments at bay.

"To overcome mental distress one can dive into the knowledge of Aquarius and Zero, Mudra, Chin Mudra, Prithvi Mudra, Akash Mudra, Surya Mudra. Besides, meditation is the greatest weapon to battle mental health issues," Sharma stated.
