Railways prepare questionnaire ahead of QCI Survey; officials asked to perform better

A questionnaire has been prepared by the North West Railways ahead of the Quality Council of India Survey, asking officials to prepare for the survey and perform better. The survey is being done for the cleanliness of railway stations.

New Delhi: Prior to the forthcoming Quality Council of India (QCI) Survey for the cleanliness of railway stations, a questionnaire has been prepared by the North-Western Railways which will be made available to all the station supervisors for guidance.

Railway Officers are expected to prepare for the survey according to the given questionnaire to perform better.

A trial audit was carried out at Jaipur Railway Station by QCI in which the survey was done on the basis of five parameters, consisting of 348 questions. Based on the questions asked by QCI team, a questionnaire with possible answers was prepared by the North Western Railways.

While having a video conferencing with the DRM's, General Manager of Northern Railways T. P. Singh has stressed upon the questionnaire to be made available to all the station supervisors to focus on the given parameters.

These parameters consist of a process audit as well as the outcomes of station managers, and direct observation of frequencies and process in place. This time citizen feedback will also be considered to rank the railway stations on the basis of cleanliness.

Last year, Jodhpur and Marwar emerged at the top of cleanest railway station rankings in this service. The survey was conducted under Swacch Bharat Abhiyan giving ratings to the railway stations on various parameters regarding cleanliness.
