New Delhi: The BJP on Friday criticised former Congress president Rahul Gandhi for raising questions on Pulwama terror attack, saying it was 'immature' on his part as issues like this are not discussed in public and if he has to ask something about it, he could do so by getting in touch with the authorities concerned.

"Nothing that may help the agenda of the enemy nation should be done by anyone. The nation must stay united on such issues," said BJP National Vice-President Dushyant Kumar Gautam.

Gautam, talking exclusively to ETV Bharat here, said it very 'immature' on part of the Congress leader to raise question on the issue.

On being asked that Left parties also raised the same questions, the BJP leader said it was being done for petty political gains, which was not in the interest of the country.

  • Today as we remember our 40 CRPF martyrs in the #PulwamaAttack , let us ask:

    1. Who benefitted the most from the attack?

    2. What is the outcome of the inquiry into the attack?

    3. Who in the BJP Govt has yet been held accountable for the security lapses that allowed the attack? pic.twitter.com/KZLbdOkLK5

Earlier in the day, on the first anniversary of the terror attack, Rahul Gandhi had raised a question on the terror attack, wherein over 40 CRPF personnel were killed when their convoy was targeted by the suicide bomber of Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pulwama district. The Congress leader, in a tweet, first paid tribute to the martyrs and then asked about the outcome of the inquiry and who all were held accountable for security lapses.

"Today as we remember our 40 CRPF martyrs in the #PulwamaAttack , let us ask: Who benefited the most from the attack? What is the outcome of the inquiry into the attack? Who in the BJP Govt has yet been held accountable for the security lapses that allowed the attack?" Gandhi asked on Twitter.
