New Delhi: Around 18 medical professionals from Kerala who are residing in Saudi Arabia and are in the third trimester of their pregnancies have approached the Supreme Court seeking their repatriation back to India as the conditions are not favourable for them.
The petitioners citing the grounds to approach SC, said that once they reach the 36th week, they won't be able to travel back to the country.
They said that they are living with very less financial resources right now in Saudi.
Some of the professionals have resigned and planned to come before March/April but then flight operations were stopped due to the coronavirus outbreak and the lockdown has been continuing since then.
