New Delhi: Political strategist and former JD(U) vice president Prashant Kishor on Sunday denied having travelled to Kolkata recently after reports emerged that he took a cargo flight to help Mamata Banerjee contain COVID-19 situation in her state.
While talking to ETV Bharat, he said: "All these baseless allegations are unnecessarily being thrown at me. I didn't go to Kolkata at all, neither did I violate any of the lockdown measures. I urge the central govt to investigate the matter and find out the truth".

Reports say that the political strategist flew to Kolkata after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee summoned him to counter-strategise against the Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT).
However, the Centre has begun investigating allegations that election strategist Prashant Kishor hopped on to a cargo flight from New Delhi to Kolkata.
