PM Modi attends Rising Himachal Global Investors' Meet in Dharamshala

To attract investment and showcase employment opportunities in the state, a two-day Rising Himachal Global Investors' Meet has been organised in Dharamshala, which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. During the event, PM Modi asserted that every state has a prominent role in the nation's effort to become a 5 trillion dollar economy by the year 2025.

Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday attended an exhibition organised at the two-day Rising Himachal Global Investors' Meet. The meet kick-started on Thursday in Dharamshala to attract investment and showcase employment opportunities in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also accompanied by Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur during the event.

Ambassador of UAE to India Ahmed Albana, Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel, Union Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur, Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari and Minister of Railways of India Piyush Goyal also participated in the event.

UAE is the partner nation for the Global Investors Meet in Dharamshala. Many noted industrialists and businessmen have also marked their attendance in the eight sessions of the meet. The meet has been attended by around 1710 business delegates and around 200 international delegates, including 23 from the Netherlands, six from the UAE, 11 from Russia, 28 from Vietnam, and 40 from Germany. Ambassadors of Oman, Vietnam, and Cambodia are also expected to take part in the Global Investors Meet.

During the meet, the state government will showcase the policy and regulatory environment and investment scope to boost manufacturing and employment opportunities.

Addressing the gathering Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that every state and district in the country has a prominent role in the nation's effort to become a five trillion-dollar economy by 2025.

"Every state and every district of the country has great potential and they will play a vital role in achieving the target," PM Modi said at the Rising Himachal Global Investors' Meet.

"Unlike in the past, the states are now competing with each other to attract investment. Himachal has a huge potential for investment in the fields of tourism, pharma and other sectors," he said in his 30-minute speech.

"India is now among the top ten performers in Ease of Doing Business and has improved its rank by 79 points between 2014 and 2019," he added.

So far around 583 MoUs have been signed by the investors at Global Investors Meet. The state government has a target of inviting investments of up to Rs 82,000 crores.

In the tourism sector itself, 192 MoUs have been signed and investment of Rs 15 crore is expected to be generated. On the other hand, 15 MoUs have been signed-in the power sector, in which investment of Rs 27812 crore is expected. Also, 42 MoUs have been signed-in the housing sector attracting investments of Rs 12270 crore and 207 MoUs have been signed-in the industry sector.

Investors meet in Dharmashala; youth can get employment opportunities


Dharamshala: Investors Meet is in progress in Dharamshala, District Kangra. Efforts of the Himachal government resulted in gathering of big industrialists from all over the world in Dharamshala.

The government had set a target of 85 thousand crore rupees for the investors meet, but this target has already been achieved a day before the investors meet. Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman, Hero Corporate Service, Pranav Adani, Director, Adani Enterprises Limited, BR Shetty, Chairman, BRS Holding, RC Bhargava, Chairman, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Col. HS Chauhan, Chairman Indian Mountaineering Foundation Investments are likely to announce investments at Global Investors Meet.

In the Global Investors Meet, Rahul Munjal, CMD, Hero Future Energy, Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, Amit Aggarwal, Country Head, Amazon India, Srinivas Bomidala Energy and International Airport GMR Group Chairman Himachal can also make big investments.

Apart from this, noted industrialists of the country and from abroad have reached Dharamshala. Among them, BR Shetty, chairman of BRS Group, Manoj Chug, President of Mahindra Group, Dr. Christiane Garbe, MD of Fiz Fankhfter Foreign Company, delegation of Vietnam Embassy, ​​Balakrishna Singh, Executive Vice President of Ayan Holdings have arrived.

More than a dozen ambassadors from various countries will also take part in the Global Investors Meet. These includes the ambassadors of Oman, Vietnam, Cambodia and other countries.

हिमाचल के धर्मशाला में हो रही इस ग्लोबल इन्वेस्टर्स मीट के लिए देश और विदेश के निवेशकों के साथ 583 एमओयू (MOU) हस्ताक्षर किए गाए हैं, जिसके माध्यम से प्रदेश में 82 हजार करोड़ रुपये के निवेश का लक्ष्य है. दो दिवसीय इन्वेस्टर्स मीट में आठ सेशन आयोजित होंगे. टूरिज्म सेक्टर में 192 एमओयू साइन हुए हैं, जिसके तहत प्रदेश में 15 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश संभावित है.

वहीं, पावर सेक्टर में 15 एमओयू पर हस्ताक्षर हुए हैं, जिसमें 27812 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश संभावित है. हाउसिंग सेक्टर में 42 एमओयू साइन हुए हैं, जिसमें 12270 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश संभावित है. इंडस्ट्री सेक्टर में 207 एमओयू साइन हुए हैं.

ग्लोबल इन्वेस्टर्स मीट के लिए पार्टनर कंट्री यूएई है. इस मीट में करीब 1710 बिजनेस डेलीगेटस और 200 के लगभग इंटरनेशनल डेलीगेटस आए हैं, जिसमें नीदरलैंड के 23, यूएई के छह, इंडिविजुअली 60, रशिया के 11, वियतनाम के 28, यूएसआईटीसी 6 और जर्मनी के 40 डेलीगेटस शामिल हैं.वहीं, एक दर्जन देशों के राजदूत भी ग्लोबल इन्वेस्टर्स मीट में हिस्सा लेंगे, जिनमें ओमान, वियतनाम, कंबोडिया समेत अन्य देशों के राजदूत शामिल हैं.
