Ernakulam: The Pineapple Farmers Association based in Kerala has expressed their solidarity for the farmers protesting in Delhi against the Central Government’s farm bills.
The association has procured and sent 20 tonnes of pineapples from Vazhakkulam for the farmers’ protest site in Delhi. The farmers with the association said that they are trying to support and mark their solidarity for the farmers protesting against the Centre’s farm bills, in Delhi, in whatever way they could.
Even as the pineapple prices have nosedived and the pineapple farmers here are going through a crisis situation, they said that they are happy to send food produces for the protesting farmers, who put farmers’ community above themselves and struggle in Delhi, said the association office-bearers. The vehicle laden with the pineapples would reach Delhi in 4 days.
