People should vote for BJP if they want peace: Hema Malini

Taking a dig at the UPA government over their 26/11 response, BJP's star campaigner Hema Malini said that people should vote for BJP if they want peace to prevail across the country. She was addressing a rally in Bihar's Sitamarhi.

Sitamarhi: While addressing a rally in Bihar's Sitamarhi actor turned politician Hema Malini on Saturday claimed that people should vote for BJP if they want peace to prevail across the country. The veteran actor was campaigning for BJP's Sheohar Lok Sabha constituency candidate Rama Devi.

Taking a dig at the Congress, the veteran actress said the Congress had failed the country after 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, while the BJP had given it back to the enemy within 13 days of the Pulwama attack.

She further claimed that the BJP has worked extensively compared to the previous UPA government and ensured the safety of people.

Speaking about the people of Bihar, the 'Dream Girl' actress said, "The people of the state are hard working for which they are lauded across the globe."

Recalling her old memories in the state, Hema said that she had visited the state once with her then co-actor Devanand for the shooting of 'Jhony Mera Naam'. She said that the people of the state were very welcoming and showered their love on her.
