New Delhi: A group of people hailing from India’s northeast region, living in the national capital protested against China on Saturday at Teen Murti Marg of New Delhi as a mark of solidarity to 20 Indian soldiers who were killed in a deadly violent face-off with Chinese troops in Galwan valley.
Around 20 members of the Voice of Northeast, an organization working for the people of the northeast region, organized the peaceful protest near Chinese embassy at Teen Murti Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

They were seen holding placards which read ‘Our country, our land, China get lost’, ‘PLA down down’; ‘Boycott China’ and shouted slogans against China for 15 minutes at a stretch. According to the reports, over 60 students from different universities including JNU, DU and others had participated in the protest. The protest was carried out keeping the covid-19 precautionary measures and social distancing norms in focus.
On 15th June, 20 Indian Army personnel, including a colonel, were killed in a brutal clash with Chinese troops in Galwan valley. It was the biggest military confrontation in over five decades that has escalated the already existing years of volatile disputes between both the nations.
