New Delhi: Peace Party of India on Monday said it will file a review petition against the Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya case within this week.
Party chairman Mohamed Ayub, while addressing a press conference here, said his party believes in the Supreme Court of India and was going for review petition on Ayodhya case because the constitution of the country allows it to do so.
"Peace Party is not happy with the Supreme Court verdict on the case, that's why we are planning to file a review petition," he told reporters, adding that they not opposing the apex court by doing so.
"We are just trying constitutional remedy that is available to us," he said.
Peace Party of India has become the second Muslim body after All India Muslim Personal Law Board to have decided to file review petition in the case.
