New Delhi: Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday hit out at Pakistan by saying that there is nothing to discuss over the Kashmir issue and the country should handover Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) to India.
Naidu asserted that negotiations will be held only on PoK and that Pakistan should handover PoK back to India as it is a part of the undivided princely state of Jammu and Kashmir that had acceded to India.
Naidu on Tuesday said abrogation of Article 370, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, was not a political issue but a national one.
The vice president reiterated that Kashmir is an integral part of India and that there can be negotiation on it.
Recently the defence minister, Rajnath Singh had said that any negotiation with Pakistan will be on Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
The Pakistani opposition leader, Bilawal Bhutto had also said while criticising Imran Khan, that India had changed the status quo on the situation in Kashmir and that Imran should not be worried about snatching Srinagar from India but rather be careful of losing PoK to India.
Pakistan has classified the PoK region as Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Gilgit-Baltistan has been up against Pakistan's policies of exploiting its local resources and changing its demography from Shia majority to Punjabi Sunni Domination.
