Over 2,800 CISF personnel promoted in pipping ceremony

At pipping ceremonies simultaneously held at the CISF headquarter in New Delhi and all zonal headquarters, a total of 2,862 personnel were promoted.

New Delhi: A total of 2,862 non-gazetted Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were promoted to the next rank on Monday.

A promotion-cum-pipping ceremony was organised at the CISF headquarters in New Delhi, and simultaneously at all the sector and zonal headquarters across India.

While 750 personnel were promoted to the Sub-Inspector rank, 716 were promoted to the Assistant Sub-Inspector rank. Meanwhile, 1233 personnel were promoted to the Head Constable rank.

In view of the COVID pandemic, only a few Sub-Officers and personnel were invited for the ceremony at the New Delhi headquarters, CISF said in a statement.

CISF DG Rajesh Ranjan, who was present at the ceremony, congratulated all the promoted sub-officers and personnel.

He said that regular promotions to the personnel go a long way in enhancing the force's capabilities and also motivate other personnel to improve and aspire for similar promotion.

Ranjan further added that in the present scenario of negativity, the promotions would not only boost the morale of the personnel but also help in creating positive functional atmosphere at work places.
