Janasena Party leader and Telugu movie industry actor, Konidela Nagababu, has tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus. "Tested Covid positive. Will scuffle and strife through this and will be a plasma donor," said Nagababu.
There was speculation that the actor tested positive a couple of days ago but it was not confirmed until he took to social media to tell the world about his health condition.
Nagababu, 58, is the younger brother of Chiranjeevi, and older to Janasena founder Pawan Kalyan.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari tests positive for Coronavirus

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has tested positive for Covid-19. He took to Twitter to share the news.

"Yesterday, I was feeling weak and consulted my Doctor. During the course of my check-up, I have been tested COVID 19 positive. I am at present doing well with the blessings and good wishes of all. I have isolated myself," He tweeted.  

I request everyone who has come in my contact to be careful and follow the protocol. Stay safe", he added.

Delhi records 4,473 new COVID-19 cases
Delhi recorded the highest single-day spike of 4,473 fresh coronavirus cases pushing the caseload to more than 2.30 lakh on Wednesday, authorities said. As many as 62,593 tests were conducted the previous day, according to Delhi government's health bulletin. The bulletin said that the death toll has risen to 4,839 with 33 fatalities. Four of the 33 fatalities are from the previous days.

COVID-19 death toll climbs to 4,690 in UP; cases over 3.30 lakh
 

With 86 fresh fatalities, the death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 4,690 in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, while the tally of cases climbed to 3,30,265 with 6,337 more people testing positive for the viral disease. The state now has 67,002 active COVID-19 cases and 2,58,573 people have recovered from the disease till date, Additional Chief Secretary (Medical and Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said.

Delhi BJP President Adesh Gupta on Wednesday informed that he tested positive for COVID-19 and urged some of the people who came in his contact to be tested.

India's COVID-19 case tally crosses 50-lakh mark with a spike of 90,123 new cases & 1,290 deaths in last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on Wednesday

The total case tally in the country stands at 50,20,360 including 9,95,933 cases, 39,42,361 cured/discharged/migrated and 82,066 deaths as per the Ministry. As per the data from the health ministry which is most affected by the pandemic has 2,92,174 active cases of COVID-19.Karnataka has 96,955 cases, Andhra Pradesh (92,535), Uttar Pradesh (67,335) and Delhi (29,787).

According to Indian Council of Medical Research, 5,94,29,115 samples have been tested up to September 15 for COVID-19. Of these, 11,16,842 samples were tested yesterday.

Fresh spurt in cases in Agra

The Covid-19 scene in the Agra region continues to remain grim as a fresh spurt in the number of cases is proving a huge challenge for the medical infrastructure.

At the two testing centres in Agra, the daily queues are lengthening as everyone with a slight doubt wants to get tested now. A large number of patients of viral fever from rural areas are also lining up for the tests, as Covid-19 awareness level through sustained media campaigns has gone up.

In the past 24 hours, Agra reported 114 fresh cases. The total now is 4,267, with 116 deaths. So far, 3,321 have recovered. The number of active cases is 830.

After the weekend lockdown was lifted, people are seen flouting the norms and crowding up public places. The police have so far challenged 31,963 people for violation of the Covid-19 guidelines.

Telangana recorded 2,273 COVID-19 cases and 2,260 recoveries and 12 deaths yesterday, taking total cases to 1,62,844 including 1,31,447 recoveries, 996 deaths and 30,401 active cases: State Health Department. Out of the fresh cases, 325 were reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), followed by Rangareddy 185, Nalgonda 175, Medchal Malkajgiri 164, Karimnagar 122 and Warangal Urban 114 districts, a state government bulletin said on Wednesday, providing data as of 8 PM on September 15.
With 12 more deaths, the overall toll rose to 996. The cumulative recovered cases stood at 1.31 lakh, while 30,401 were under treatment. According to the bulletin, 55,636 samples were tested on September 15. Cumulatively, the number of samples tested was 22.76 lakh.
The case fatality rate in the state was 0.61 per cent, while it was 1.63 per cent at the national level, it said. The recovery rate in the state climbed to 80.71 per cent,
while it was 78.52 per cent in the country.

Odisha reports more recoveries than new COVID-19 cases

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported more recoveries of COVID-19 patients than new cases on Tuesday as 3,714 people were cured of the disease while 3,645 got
infected with it, a health department official said.

The number of recoveries in the state is now 1,25,738 which is 79.25 per cent of the total coronavirus caseload of 1,58,650. The toll due to the contagion rose to 645 with eight more people succumbing to the infection - three in Cuttack and one each in Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Sambalpur and
Subarnapur during the day, he said.

Total 53 COVID-19 patients in the state have died due to comorbidities, according to the official."Today, the number of recoveries (3,714) is more than the detection of new positive cases (3,645)," the official said. The case fatality rate has declined to 0.40 per cent from 0.47 per cent on September 1, the data released by the
department said. Odisha currently has 32,214 active cases against Monday's 35,928 cases, it said.

PT-PCR tests to be charged by private laboratories at Rs.1500 in Jharkhand

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government on Tuesday slashed the maximum price of RT-PCR tests for COVID-19 to be charged by private laboratories to Rs 1,500, officials said. The state government on June 29 had capped the rate at Rs 2,400.

The decision was taken in view of the fall in rates of the kits and related items required to conduct the tests, officials said. Action will be taken against any private lab that charges more than the fixed-rate, as per an order issued by the government.

COVID-19 LIVE: Odisha records highest single day recoveries of 4,121 coronavirus cases

Assam reported 2,409 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases to 1,46,575, said Himant Biswa Sarma, State Health Minister.

Puducherry: Puducherry recorded 518 fresh cases of coronavirus and 13 related deaths on Wednesday, taking the aggregate to 21,111 in the union territory.
With the death of 13 more people, the toll rose to 418. Director of Health and Family Welfare S Mohan Kumar said in a release that 401 patients were discharged during last 24 hours.

Arunachal Pradesh's COVID-19 tally rose to 6,466 as 170 more people, including 24 security personnel have tested positive for the virus, a health department official said on Wednesday.

India's COVID-19 case tally crosses 50-lakh mark with a spike of 90,123 new cases & 1,290 deaths in last 24 hours, according to the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on Wednesday

The total case tally in the country stands at 50,20,360 including 9,95,933 cases, 39,42,361 cured/discharged/migrated and 82,066 deaths as per the Ministry. As per the data from the health ministry which is most affected by the pandemic has 2,92,174 active cases of COVID-19.Karnataka has 96,955 cases, Andhra Pradesh (92,535), Uttar Pradesh (67,335) and Delhi (29,787).

According to Indian Council of Medical Research, 5,94,29,115 samples have been tested up to September 15 for COVID-19. Of these, 11,16,842 samples were tested yesterday.

Fresh spurt in cases in Agra

The Covid-19 scene in the Agra region continues to remain grim as a fresh spurt in the number of cases is proving a huge challenge for the medical infrastructure.

At the two testing centres in Agra, the daily queues are lengthening as everyone with a slight doubt wants to get tested now. A large number of patients of viral fever from rural areas are also lining up for the tests, as Covid-19 awareness level through sustained media campaigns has gone up.

In the past 24 hours, Agra reported 114 fresh cases. The total now is 4,267, with 116 deaths. So far, 3,321 have recovered. The number of active cases is 830.

After the weekend lockdown was lifted, people are seen flouting the norms and crowding up public places. The police have so far challenged 31,963 people for violation of the Covid-19 guidelines.

Telangana recorded 2,273 COVID-19 cases, yesterday

Telangana recorded 2,273 COVID-19 cases and 2,260 recoveries and 12 deaths yesterday, taking total cases to 1,62,844 including 1,31,447 recoveries, 996 deaths and 30,401 active cases: State Health Department. Out of the fresh cases, 325 were reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), followed by Rangareddy 185, Nalgonda 175, Medchal Malkajgiri 164, Karimnagar 122 and Warangal Urban 114 districts, a state government bulletin said on Wednesday, providing data as of 8 PM on September 15.
With 12 more deaths, the overall toll rose to 996. The cumulative recovered cases stood at 1.31 lakh, while 30,401 were under treatment. According to the bulletin, 55,636 samples were tested on September 15. Cumulatively, the number of samples tested was 22.76 lakh.
The case fatality rate in the state was 0.61 per cent, while it was 1.63 per cent at the national level, it said. The recovery rate in the state climbed to 80.71 per cent,
while it was 78.52 per cent in the country.

Odisha reports more recoveries than new COVID-19 cases

Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported more recoveries of COVID-19 patients than new cases on Tuesday as 3,714 people were cured of the disease while 3,645 got
infected with it, a health department official said.

The number of recoveries in the state is now 1,25,738 which is 79.25 per cent of the total coronavirus caseload of 1,58,650. The toll due to the contagion rose to 645 with eight more people succumbing to the infection - three in Cuttack and one each in Boudh, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Sambalpur and
Subarnapur during the day, he said.

Total 53 COVID-19 patients in the state have died due to comorbidities, according to the official."Today, the number of recoveries (3,714) is more than the detection of new positive cases (3,645)," the official said. The case fatality rate has declined to 0.40 per cent from 0.47 per cent on September 1, the data released by the
department said. Odisha currently has 32,214 active cases against Monday's 35,928 cases, it said.

PT-PCR tests to be charged by private laboratories at Rs.1500 in Jharkhand

Ranchi: The Jharkhand government on Tuesday slashed the maximum price of RT-PCR tests for COVID-19 to be charged by private laboratories to Rs 1,500, officials said. The state government on June 29 had capped the rate at Rs 2,400.

The decision was taken in view of the fall in rates of the kits and related items required to conduct the tests, officials said. Action will be taken against any private lab that charges more than the fixed-rate, as per an order issued by the government.

COVID-19 LIVE: Odisha records highest single day recoveries of 4,121 coronavirus cases

Assam reported 2,409 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases to 1,46,575, said Himant Biswa Sarma, State Health Minister.

The total number of cases include 1,15,051 recoveries, 31,029 active cases and 492 deaths. Meanwhile, India COVID -19 tally crossed the 49 lakh mark with a spike of  83,809 cases and 1,054 deaths in the last 24 hours, said the Union Health Ministry.
