Kalahandi (Odisha): A bereaved family in Odisha took to an occultist in the hope of resurrecting their son Satish Gopal, who had died after being bitten by a venomous snake on Thursday.
Gopal's his family, reportedly, took the occultist inside a morgue at Kalahandi District Headquarters Hospital to bring the 21-year-old boy back to life.

"The occultist performed witchcraft for around three hours inside the morgue," said a police official.
The deceased, a resident of Dumerbahal village in Keshinga, was first rushed to the Keshinga Community Health Centre on Wednesday night after he was bitten by a venomous snake. The youth was later referred to the District Headquarters Hospital, Bhawanipatana where he died while undergoing treatment.

Palpable tension prevailed at the hospital after the family members called an occultist and allegedly opened the morgue without permission in an attempt to infuse life into Gopal.
