Rishikesh: While people are avoiding going out of their homes due to the corona pandemic, Manmeet Kaur has crossed seven seas and reached Rishikesh on a pilgrimage. She further is undertaking a journey to Kedarnath and Gangotri from here.
A restauranteur in the US, Kaur had to face a lot of difficulties before reaching India. While talking to ETV Bharat, she told that her visa had been declined many times before being accepted finally this month while her mother's health deteriorated.
After coming to India, Kaur got her mother treated following which she decided to go on the pilgrimage.
She said that she has been on a pilgrimage for the last three years.
From Rishikesh to Gangotri, Kaur plans to go Kedarnath and Tungnath Darshan.
She is originally from Kolkata who married and settled in America. She added that she has been taking care of her family and self so as to prevent them from Corona.
