NRI provides financial support to help hometown poor in Telangana

An NRI residing in the US donated a sum of 5 Lakhs to support the poor and needy in her hometown in Telangana's Mancherial.

Mancherial: Bhavya Reddy, an NRI who lives in the US, has donated Rs 5 Lakhs to charity to help the needy and poor in the wake of the lockdown.

She is the granddaughter of Aravind Reddy, a former MLA of Mancherial Town, Mancherial District. With the transferred money, Aravind reddy distributed essential commodities among the poor.

Aravind Reddy's daughter is settled in America. Bhavya Reddy's mother was requested via Twitter to provide financial assistance to help people affected by the lockdown in her hometown.

"My granddaughter sent the money to me and told me to help the poor," said her grandfather Aravind Reddy.
