New Delhi: Terming WhatsApp snooping case as "sensitive and wrong", the BJP on Friday said there was no threat to national security as alleged by the opposition parties.
On being asked if the widely used messenger application would be banned, the BJP leader refused to make any comment.
He, however, kept on underlining the point that the act of snooping was wrong and was being investigated.
On the formation of government in Maharashtra, Verma said the on-going impasse would be resolved and "government would be formed accruing to the mandate" in the state.
"The BJP and the Shiv Sena have been allies for long. The issue would be resolved soon and the government would be formed," he said.
There has been furore after the WhatsApp confirmed that the mobile phones of several Indian rights activists and journalists had been hacked with privacy activists wanting clarity on the issue.
