New Delhi: The stirring of the Delhi Assembly elections is continually intensifying. Senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday held a rally in Malviya Nagar assembly constituency as a part of the elections where he said that no power can stop CAA and NRC from being implemented.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan visited the area in support of Shailender Singh Monti, who is a BJP candidate from the constituency. Chouhan also slammed Delhi government over many national and state-related issues.
He said that CAA is for the oppressed minorities in neighbouring countries, this will not cause any problem to the Muslims of our country but Congress and AAP are politicising the act.
He further said, "at the time of independence there were 23 per cent of minorities in Pakistan which has left now only 2 per cent. What happened to them? It is been said that every day Hindu girls are kidnapped for marriage and forcibly converted to Islam. They demolish temples. The CAA is for such oppressed minorities in neighbouring countries, no power of the world can stop it from being implemented."
Taking a dig at Arvind Kejriwal, Chouhan said, "there is a mess of electrical wires in Delhi everywhere, whereas, in Madhya Pradesh, we have got electricity line in a systematic way. Kejriwal has not fulfilled any promise as people are obliged to drink polluted water in Delhi.
