New Delhi: Former Union Minister Sharad Yadav has said that there is no need to implement NRC (National Register of Citizens) in Bihar, as it only affects the poorest people who do not have their own houses.
He said, "This is India, not Europe. This country has many sections and some leaders want to divide the country on that basis."
Many people go to sleep on an empty stomach and there is no employment in the country, he added.
"As the unemployment rate is very high, the BJP brings different issues and gives a communal angle to everything. Such issues are raised to divert attention from the main issues," he added.
