India/Nepal: The Armed Police Force of Nepal on Tuesday seized cash amounting to Rs 1.9 crore in Indian currency notes from a truck crossing into Nepal from Bihar’s Jogbani town on the India-Nepal border.
The seized Indian currency was in the denomination of Rs 500 concealed in gutka - a type of smokeless tobacco - wrappers stuffed in gunny bags.
Police have seized the truck bearing registration number WB73E7635 and are interrogating the driver.

The police had been on high alert after receiving a tip-off from sources about attempts being made for carrying out hawala transactions through the Indo-Nepal border.
